I've made a promise to myself to write a lovely unnecessarily long post about this vacation. But because we are still technically on vacation, I wont be doing it just yet. Soon though, I think.
Ryman has really been encouraging me to take some pictures this time we are here and I'm really glad to say that I'm finally enjoying it. All of the pictures below, that I'm not in, I took myself! I'm so used to not even having to think about a camera and its been interesting this week to get the chance to put a little thought into it.
We've seen the Capitol Building, The Library of Congress, The Russell Senate Building, Cannon Building, Longworth Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History, Holocaust Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and Union Station. We are unfortunately nowhere near finished and leaving tomorrow, but still I think we made a dent in grandma's bucket list and that is after all the entire reason we are here in the first place! There are a few shots with all of us, and those are my favorites!
Ryman's photos are phenomenal and make mine look like a five year old has the camera, but oh well, I'm having fun with it :) Take a peak at his blog to see some of them. Ryman's Life Challenge
Travelling with family is pure comedy, I love all of these people so much and I had no idea that putting them all on a plane would be one of the most hysterical nights of my life. No really, seriously, there should have been a camera on them the entire flight.
Photos of DC, for the few who have never been.
On the way to the Senate Luncheon, yes we are blurry I know, but for some reason I like it anyway.
