We went out to dinner on Saturday night and because I lost another pound this week, I splurged and had dessert! Silly reasoning, I know. We went to Fresh Choice, AKA salad bar heaven. The calories for every item available are listed right there in front of you, so you realize what it is you're adding to your plate before you do it. After I added everything, up, I'm able to proudly say that I had a 565 calorie meal (including that dessert) even I was a little shocked.
I know it sounds ridiculous but as I added a scoop of chocolate mousse to my little cup, on top of the scoop of tapioca pudding, light whipped cream, caramel and chocolate sauce, I noticed and actually contemplated skipping the sprinkles. WTH right? How could I possibly think that a teeny tiny teaspoon of rainbow sprinkles would put me over the top for the day? How could saying thanks but no thanks to sprinkles ever be a good idea? It basically goes against everything I try to tell everyone who reads this to do, which is to embrace the happy, all the time. Skipping sprinkles, um no, never.
If you can't twirl around at any given moment, hopefully you can just add sprinkles, on the regular, instead.
Something freaking phenomenal happened to me this week and I don't even think I can properly explain exactly how fantastic is is, so instead, I'll show you.
This is from my Facebook Wall :
I am eating a piece of chocolate cream pie; then I realized I hadn't twirled today. So I literally got up, turned in a circle, sat back down and wrote this on your wall.
How beautiful is that? One of my best friends posted that and really there isn't anything else that she could have said, to make me happier, at that exact moment.
Okay time for some cold hard facts, like I boasted earlier, I lost one pound this week, putting me at 152.5, exactly 17.5 lbs away from my goal. I worked out 5 of the past 7 days, sometimes doubling up my cardio and sometimes just doing my 30 day shred video. I made good, healthy food choices even though we found out we get to move next Saturday, giving us 9 days total to pack everything. (5 as I type this) All in all, a great week. Topped off with sprinkles.
