The saying Stop and Smell the Roses should totally be switched out for Stop and Look Up during this time of year. Fall in San Francisco is beautiful, it’s a little different on my side of the bridge but it’s still pretty awesome.
I think I've officially decided to look up & photograph whatever is up there more often, this one turned out alright, which was totally unexpected.
I think you should do it too, maybe just for the day? Today, at some point when you’re outside- (or inside) look up and see what’s up there. Hopefully its something pretty, even the frame of a building against the sky (cloudy or not) can turn out surprisingly nice if you frame it right with a neat angle or random tree branch.
I asked my husband what the most unexpected thing he took a picture of recently was and he sent me the image below. Its pretty random and so I just have to share it with you. This was right outside his job the other day. It's a little funny to me because since he's a photographer even his crappy iPhone pictures turn out pretty spectacular in content compared to mine. This image proves that point perfectly, as I took a picture of a tree and he managed to get a Huey Helicopter riding down Market Street in San Francisco. Look closely, it's there.
I'm going to try and take a lot more snapshots and I hope you do too! It's a good way to document and relive all the seemingly uneventful days that take up the space in between all of the typical grab your camera days that we normally document with photos.
