48 years ago today the world lost it's most iconic beauty, ever. I do not think there is any disputing that, like, in anyway! She was gorgeous and oh so lonely. There are rumors and speculation and I really don't think anyone will ever know what happened to her in the end. The beginning of her life was tragic and she made something amazing out of nothing, unlike anyone does these days. There is no way that I can even put into words properly how stunning and inspirational she was. Then again, I think all of these images, some of my favorites, speak for themselves. Before photo editing even existed, she was flawless.
It's silly, but I've collected over 25 books about her life throughout the years and no matter how many I read, or how many pictures I look at, I still want to learn more, see more. She makes it hard to look away! Each time we go to LA, we always visit the cemetery where she is, and it's gonna sound nuts, but I swear I can feel something when I'm standing there next to her, it's just this energy or something. It's probably all the love from the thousands of people who have come to visit over the years..yes, that must be it! LOVE. Wow, I must be tired-
Beauty is so rarely found on the inside and out, it's usually something we have to look for, I mean REALLY look for in most people. When it's there, it abounds, and it's lovely.
